Meghen Peck is a freelance writer and publicist with seven years of experience crafting impactful narratives that connect brands with audiences. Her career has spanned both agency and in-house roles, where she’s managed everything from media relations to content strategy, ultimately shaping her unique approach to storytelling. She began her career at Louisiana State University Shreveport as a public relations and media assistant, where she quickly developed a talent for media relations, contributing to campaigns like the university’s 50th Anniversary by sourcing and writing 50 stories to celebrate its legacy and covering significant events such as the return of Miss LSUS.

 

In 2018, Meghen joined 365 Connect as a content strategist, creating SEO-optimized content that enhanced community engagement and visibility for multifamily properties. There, she curated content for apartment properties and new site builds, contributing to platforms such as 365 Connect, uCribs, and MultifamilyBiz. Transitioning fully into public relations in 2020, Meghen held roles at Octagon Media, Crowned Marketing & Communications, and GROWTH MODE, where she served as a public relations specialist and account manager. In these positions, she managed media outreach, crafted press releases, and secured client coverage in major outlets like FOX, ABC, Forbes, The Hollywood Reporter, and Marketing Brew. Meghen’s expertise spans diverse industries, including technology, lifestyle, healthcare, and nonprofits, with clients such as Aetna Better Health of Louisiana, GeoLinks, Office Depot, Sun Moon Rising, Agbara Engineering, Every Day Action, and Special Olympics Louisiana.

 

In 2024, Meghen expanded her career to include freelance writing to explore her passion for storytelling in a fresh, more personal way, focusing on food and beverage and lifestyle topics. While she remains dedicated to her work as a publicist and continues to drive strategies that amplify her clients' voices, her writing allows her to step into the other side of storytelling, bringing to life the flavors, experiences, and connections that shape how we live and connect. Alongside her professional work, Meghen is an active volunteer with I'm Changing The Narrative, an organization dedicated to promoting positive mental health and good love for oneself and others. Through her volunteer efforts, Meghen is passionate about making a meaningful difference in mental wellness and self-compassion. 

 

Meghen holds a Master’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of New Orleans and a Bachelor’s in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University Shreveport.
